Here are some things which may be of use to DSC users as of Saturday
October 14, 1995.

_________________________________________________________________________

RUNNING THE MOST CURRENT VERSION OF THE DOP:

The most current working version of the DOP ( the DSC interface ) is in
/p/dop/devel so be sure and

                        fnstar% setenv DOP_DIR /p/dop/devel

in place of whatever else you see in the primer.

CHANGE IN DATA DIRECTORY STRUCTURE:

The default data directory structure has been changed ( from /local... to
/data... ). To find out where your images are being written on the UNIX
side type the command

                        fnstar-OAC> CAMStatusPrint

To change the directory images are written to, type the command

                        fnstar-OAC> CAMStatusSet [dir path]

__________________________________________________________________________

TELESCOPE CONTROL FROM DSC INTERFACE:

If you want to have telescope control from the DSC interface use the command

                        fnstar-OAC> startAll

after you start the OAC with the dscRun dsc command.

If you only want camera control, you can use the

                        fnstar-OAC> startupCameraShell dsc

command instead of startAll.

Also see message 8 in the DSC section of the mail server for additional
recent changes.

                                Dan
